AURAK and RAKTA Sign MoU to Enhance Cooperation and Development

American University of Ras Al Khaimah (AURAK) and Ras Al Khaimah Transport Authority (RAKTA) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to enhance cooperation and support their strategic partnership through innovative solutions and creating opportunities for the joint training of qualified young professionals for successful careers. This collaboration aims to advance initiatives and projects that contribute to achieving the Ras Al Khaimah Government Vision 2030.

The MoU was signed on behalf of the parties by H.E. Eng. Esmaeel Hasan Al Blooshi, Director General of RAKTA, and Dr. David Andrew Schmidt, President of AURAK, with several officials from both sides in attendance.

The MoU reflects the commitment of both parties to work together to achieve shared goals and meet community needs in light of the rapid growth and development in Ras Al Khaimah.

H.E. Eng. Esmaeel Hassan Al Blooshi, Director General of RAKTA, emphasized the importance of this partnership, stating, "This collaboration represents an opportunity to set priorities, exchange information, studies, and data, and raise awareness to create a positive impact through specialized training courses and academic studies that contribute to developing the transport system in the emirate. Additionally, this partnership will provide opportunities for AURAK students to engage in the work environment, helping them hone their skills and integrate with the university's academic programs."

Dr. David Andrew Schmidt, President of AURAK, added: “We are honored to formally begin this partnership between RAKTA and AURAK to foster collaboration between the two institutions, offering mutual benefits such as scholarships for RAKTA employees and their families, research and internship opportunities for AURAK students, and joint initiatives in innovation. These efforts will create a dynamic environment for knowledge exchange, enhancing learning and discovery opportunities for the Ras Al Khaimah community.”
